Through artistic endeavours and creations showcased in an extravagant and spectacular stage setting, the students of Zam-Zam Muhammadiyah Modern Islamic Boarding School (PPM) demonstrate their excellence. Shortly before the Arena Festiza 610 opened on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, in the Campus 2 hall, this was conveyed by the Section Head (Kasi) of the Curriculum of the Banyumas Regency Education Office, Riyadi Setyarsono, S.Pd., before reading the written remarks of the Acting Regent of Banyumas, Hanung Cahyo Saputro, S.STP., M.Si., who was unable to attend the event.
“Tonight, we are witnessing the greatness of Zam-Zam students in organising an event and creating such an extraordinary stage,” Riyadi added, before reading the Banyumas Regent’s remarks.
According to him, the 12th grade of MBS senior high school students organised the Arena Festiza 610 art event, which attracted a lot of interest due to its numerous exhibits, which included action theatre, dance, choir, music, and storytelling. His goal is that everything will go according to plan until the end of the event. Furthermore, the Regent thinks that PPM Zam-Zam, as an Islamic school, has done the best it can to educate its students.
“Islamic boarding schools as Islamic educational institutions, in addition to providing religious knowledge, also have a big role in character building and optimising the talents of their students,” he added.
Following the speech, the directors of PPM Zam-Zam, ustadz Arif Fauzi, Lc., M.Pd., Chairman of PCM Cilongok, Ir. Wahyudianto, the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Banyumas Regional, KH. M. Djohar, M.Pd., as well as the deputy board of trustees, KH. Agus Miftah, all pressed the siren button together.
The Festiza Committee Chairman and PPM Zam-Zam Director, respectively, gave the two previous speeches. Regarding the excitement that greeted attendees of this yearly art title, an expressive speech performance in five languages—English, Korean, Japanese, Arabic, and Indonesian—came immediately after the AF video, which served as the theme of the Arena Festiza 610. Furthermore, there were three outstanding events: Arabic drama, Tapak Suci martial arts fighting attraction, and Islamic history tragedy drama about Hindun and Hamzah performed in Arabic and English. There were also hadroh, choir, Saman dance, Tutting Dance, Semaphore dance, band performance, poetry musicalization, pantomime, and light dance.
Following the Tutting Dance performance, which concluded with the melodic voices of 2 santriwati from campus 2, the Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Banyumas Regional promptly got up from his chair and hurried to the stage to present a bouquet of flowers as an act of appreciation for the artistic expression of dance that had just been displayed.
As Mudir stated in his opening remarks, the artwork in the Arena Festiza 610 is truly exceptional because it is broadcast both offline and online in real-time on the ponpeszamzam YouTube channel leading up to the event. Everything is binding; it takes extraordinary dedication, unity, and vision.
